Centers

The School of Education hosts three academic centers, each of which focuses attention on a subject of critical importance to the field of education. The centers facilitate cooperation between Loyola and communities on the local, national, and global levels. Our centers include:

The Center for Catholic School Effectiveness (CCSE) is directed by Dr. Lorraine Ozar. The first organization of its kind, CCSE is dedicated to supporting PK-12 teaching and learning in faith-based schools.

The Center for Comparative Education (CCE) is directed by Dr. Erwin Epstein. The primary mission of the CCE is to apply intellectual tools of history and the social sciences for a better understanding of international issues of education.

The Center for School Evaluation, Intervention and Training (CSEIT) is directed by Dr. Hank Bohanon. CSEIT's purpose is to provide assistance to all children around social/emotional behavior and academic supports. CSEIT's goals are to develop an online data analysis system for evaluation and technical assistance, to develop and disseminate materials, and to conduct research to improve practice.
