Steps Toward Financial Assistance

How to Apply

Stop by the Student Services Hub at anytime to meet with an OSFA representative and get help with the FAFSA and other financial matters.  OSFA hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.  The Student Services Hubs are located in the Sullivan Center at the Lake Shore Campus and the Loyola Law Center at the Water Tower Campus.

Undergraduate students must submit the FAFSA by February 15 (if mailing a paper FAFSA) or February 27 (if filing electronically) to meet Loyola's priority application date of March 1.  Meeting the deadline allows students to be considered for as many types of aid as possible.  Students who miss the March 1 deadline may not be eligible for need-based Loyola assistance, and may miss deadlines for the other state/or federal programs.  If you have questions about the FAFSA or about the financial aid process, email OSFA at: lufinaid@luc.edu

For Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Loyola's Office of Student Financial Assistance is committed to helping families finance a student's education. If Loyola University Chicago is your college choice, and you meet the requirements for admission, we'll do everything possible to make sure your dream of an exceptional college education becomes a reality.

Our financial assistance professionals will work with you to create a package that makes the most of all the financial resources available to you—what you and your family can contribute and what Loyola and others have to offer. It is a partnership where we all work together to reach our common goal—making your Loyola education achievable and affordable.

The first step is yours. Applying early for financial assistance is the key to unlocking the resources you may need, because the more time we have to work together, the greater our chances of finding the perfect combination of financial resources for you.

Note: Since the majority of our students choose to file the FAFSA online, the Department of Education does not make paper applications available to schools. If you would like a paper application, you must call 1-800-4FEDAID to request one be mailed to you or print the form using the links below.

We recommend you file the FAFSA online. Not only is filing online is not only faster, but many errors are revealed and highlighted for correction before your FAFSA is even submitted  -  which leads to easier processing and reduced need to submit additional documentation.
